Former Glasgow Rangers star Steven Naismith was reportedly willing to join the Ibrox club in the January transfer window, but he eventually moved to Hearts on loan from Norwich City.

Naismith, who was on the books of Rangers from 2007 until 2012 and was a huge success during his time at Ibrox, joined the Gers’ Scottish Premiership rivals Heart of Midlothian in January.
The former Ibrox star, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, moved to Hearts on loan from Norwich City in the Championship in England until the end of the season.
Former Celtic winger Provan has suggested that Rangers should have signed Naismith in the January transfer window.
The Scottish Sun claimed in January that the former Kilmarnock star was willing to play for Rangers until the end of the season.

Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun on Sunday before the Scottish Cup semi-final tie between Celtic and Rangers at Hampden Park: “Naismith’s offer to play for Rangers for nothing was rejected by diehard Bluenoses who won’t forgive him for tearing up his Ibrox contract.
“With Hearts idle this weekend, the 31-year-old will have his feet up. He should really be running out for Graeme Murty’s men at Hampden Park.”

Fighting for second
Rangers are fighting with Aberdeen and Hibernian for the runners-up spot in the Scottish Premiership table this season.
The Gers are level on 62 points with Aberdeen, while Hibernian are three points behind them in third.
