Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers will take on Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox today.
Celtic will take on Old Firm rivals Rangers away from home at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.
Former Celtic winger Provan believes that manager Brendan Rodgers should include the 28-year-old winger in the team against Graeme Murty’s side.
The former Scotland international has also praised Rangers midfielder Sean Goss.
Provan, though, does not think that Rangers manager Graeme Murty will include the 22-year-old, who joined the Gers on loan from Queens Park Rangers in the January transfer window, in the starting lineup against Celtic.
“For me, Scott Sinclair has to start despite indifferent form,” Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun. “He’s the type who’ll relish the Ibrox cauldron.”
“Elsewhere, it’s a choice between Sean Goss and Andy Halliday to partner Greg Docherty in the holding roles,” added Provan. “Goss has been outstanding, but Murty might feel Halliday would bring more to this game.”

Sinclair is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership, but the performance of the former Chelsea winger for Celtic in recent weeks have not been great.
The 28-year-old former Aston Villa winger has scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 26 Scottish Premiership matches for the Hoops so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.
As for Goss, the former Manchester United prospect has been brilliant for Rangers since his loan move from QPR in January.
