David Provan has reminded Celtic fans of the goals that Odsonne Edouard scored for the Hoops despite him struggling against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers at Ibrox last weekend, as quoted in The Scottish Sun.
Edouard joined Premier League club Palace from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic on summer transfer deadline day.
The Eagles paid the Hoops an initial transfer fee of £14m for the 23-year-old striker, according to Sky Sports.
The move came just a couple of days after the former Paris Saint-Germain striker failed to do much of note in the Old Firm derby.
Celtic lost 1-0 to Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership last weekend.

David Provan’s verdict
Former Celtic star Provan has reminded the fans about the goals that Edouard scored for the Hoops.
Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun: “Edouard may have flopped at Ibrox, but he’ll be a huge miss for the Hoops. Those slaughtering him on social media have short memories.
“His numbers speak for themselves, but scoring in Scotland was never going to get him into the full French squad. He can do that from the platform of the Premier League.”

Odsonne Edouard was a success at Celtic
Edouard was one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership during his time at Celtic.
The 23-year-old scored 86 goals in 179 games for the Bhoys.
The right-footed striker also gave 39 assists during his time at Celtic.
Edouard won the Scottish Premiership title thrice, and the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup twice each with the Glasgow giants.
Edouard is 23 now, and it was time for the striker to make the move to an established club in the Premier League such as Palace.
