David Provan has written in The Scottish Sun that he would take Roy Keane as the new Celtic manager.
The Celtic legend believes that the Hoops’ largest individual shareholder Dermot Desmond should back his own judgement and make a decision, having brought in Brendan Rodgers, Gordon Strachan and Neil Lennon.
The Scotsman has added that he would take former Manchester United and Celtic midfielder Keane as the manager of Celtic right now.
According to The Scottish Sun, Keane wants to become the new manager of Celtic.
Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun: “Asked about his progress in finding a new manager, Dermot Desmond says: ‘As with any key appointment at Celtic, there is a process which involves research, investigation, interviewing and negotiation.’
“Not sure how he squares that with Neil Lennon being offered the job in the Hampden showers after a Scottish Cup final.
“Having appointed Brendan Rodgers and Gordon Strachan, Desmond has form and should back his own judgement. He doesn’t need a committee meeting. For what it’s worth, I’d have Roy Keane tomorrow.”

Roy Keane to Celtic?
Keane managed Sunderland and Ipswich Town and worked as an assistant at Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and the Republic of Ireland national football team.
The Sky Sports pundit is without a managerial role at the moment, and there is no doubt that with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard in charge of Rangers at the moment, the 49-year-old would be a blockbuster appointment for the Hoops.
However, the 49-year-old has not been the sole manager of a team since 2011, and there is an element of risk attached to that.
