Jake Hastie is joining Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers.

Hastie is leaving Motherwell this summer and will join Rangers on a free transfer, having already agreed a pre-contract agreement with the Gers.
Some Motherwell fans have criticised the 20-year-old winger for his decision, and last weekend some chanted about him and unveiled a banner, but Celtic legend Provan has defended the decision of the Scotland Under-21 international.
Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun: “This week Motherwell chief executive Alan Burrows admitted the Fir Park outfit compete with non-league clubs in England when it comes to players’ wages. Makes you wonder what those Well fans abusing Jake Hastie last week have for brains.
“Having been at the club since he was nine, Hastie signed a pre-contract with Rangers that gives him the security of a four-year contract and a bumper wage rise. Would any of the loudmouths have knocked back the same opportunity?”

Succeeding at Rangers
Hastie is a very good winger, and although he has not played a lot of games for Motherwell, the 20-year-old will improve and develop at Rangers.
It could take a while for the Scottish youngster to establish himself in the Rangers first team next season, but there is no doubt that the he can become a major player for the Gers in the coming years.
Rangers will take on Kilmarnock away from home in their final Scottish Premiership game of the season on Sunday afternoon.
