Celtic legend David Provan has criticised Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos in The Scottish Sun.
Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in Steven Gerrard’s Rangers team.
The 22-year-old striker has scored nine goals in the Scottish Premiership and two in the Europa League for Rangers so far this season, according to WhoScored.
The Colombia international, though, has disciplinary issues and was sent off against Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership game at Ibrox in midweek – his eighth red card of the season.
Former Celtic winger Provan has given his take on Morelos and has strongly criticised the youngster, who joined Rangers from HJK Helsinki in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £1.5 million.
Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun: “On the back of Alfredo Morelos’s third red card of the season, some are putting it down to a lack of discipline. It’s not. It’s a shortage of brains.
“The sight of the Colombian smiling as he headed for the showers in midweek must have had Steven Gerrard furious.
“How do you get sent off a day after the manager has held a summit on improving discipline? Steven must be close to arriving at the obvious conclusion. You can’t educate a rocket.”

Rangers are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Dundee away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers are third in the league table at the moment with 30 points from 15 matches, just three points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic.
