Brendan Rodgers has been in charge of Celtic since the summer of 2016.

The former Celtic winger, who is a club legend, has suggested that Rodgers’s recent comments about Maryan Shved indicate that the former Liverpool manager will leave the Glasgow giants at the end of the season.
BBC Sport quoted Rodgers as saying last week that he does not know much about the 21-year-old winger – who is undergoing a medical at the Scottish Premiership giants, as reported by Sky Sports.
Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun: “If timing is everything in football, another clean sweep would be an emphatic way for him to bring the curtain down in Scotland. Rodgers’ recent remarks suggest he’s working his notice.
“Asked early last week about the potential signing of Maryan Shved, he said: ‘I haven’t seen a great deal of him. We’ve got about a million wingers and don’t need another one.’
“For a guy who picks his words forensically, that was a public slap for those foisting unwanted players on him. If Rodgers hasn’t earned the right to dictate recruitment, God knows who has.
“The clever money should be on him calling it quits this summer in the knowledge he’s hit the glass roof.”

Worrying for Celtic fans
Rodgers has been in charge of Celtic since the summer of 2016, and the former Liverpool manager has been a massive success at the Hoops.
The Glasgow giants have won the domestic treble for the past two seasons, and they have also played in the group stage of the Champions League and will feature in the round of 32 of the Europa League this campaign.
Celtic fans love Rodgers, and it will be a blow to the Hoops if he leaves at the end of the season.
It must be said, though, that there are not too many clubs where Rodgers can go and say that it is a step-up.
True, a return to the Premier League will be massive, but Rodgers could end up taking charge of a team fighting for survival, and that is not exactly as rosy as winning titles in Scotland with Celtic.
