David Pleat believes Michail Antonio has undergone an ‘amazing transition’ at West Ham United this season, according to BBC Football.
Indeed, Pleat feels Antonio’s form is a bonus at Upton Park, addressing the ‘many people’ that doubted him earlier in the campaign – after he completed a move from Championship side Nottingham Forest.
Antonio scored the winner for West Ham against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.
And Pleat told the BBC: “It’s an amazing transition. Many people doubted him and he had this interesting move where he was not even considered; he’s been another bonus for West Ham this season.”

As Opta stats show, the 25-year-old is now West Ham’s second-top scorer in the Premier League this season, also registering two assists and beating his man with the ball at feet 24 times.
Those are impressive figures for someone who has only played just over 1,000 minutes of league football this term.
Next up for West Ham is a clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night, where the Hammers as a whole will need to play far better. Antonio, however, simply needs more of the same…
