Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton players feature in David Platt’s England team to face Iceland at the Euro 2016 last-16.

David Platt has suggested in The Sun that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane should not start for England against Iceland in France next week.
England will take on Iceland in the last 16 of the 2016 European Championship at the Allianz Riviera in Nice on Monday.
Former Aston Villa and Arsenal midfielder Platt has suggested that Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge should start for the Three Lions up front instead of Kane.
The former England international believes that Three Lions’ head coach Roy Hodgson should use a 4-1-4-1 formation against Iceland.

“I would play Daniel Sturridge as the sole forward,” Platt wrote in The Sun. “I think Iceland would want to face Kane because he is more static.
“Sturridge, by contrast, can create something for himself as we saw with his late winner against Wales.”
Platt’s team: “(4-1-4-1) Hart, Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Rose; Dier; Lallana, Barkley, Rooney, Alli; Sturridge.”

According to Platt, Manchester City star Joe Hart should retain his place in goal for England.
Tottenham Hotspur duo Kyle Walker and Danny Rose should be the two full-backs, while Manchester United’s Chris Smalling and Chelsea’s Gary Cahill should be the two centre-backs.
Spurs midfielder Eric Dier, who has been arguably England’s best player at the Euro 2016 finals in France so far, should be the holding midfielder.
Liverpool’s Adam Lallana, Everton’s Ross Barkley, United star Wayne Rooney and Tottenham’s Dele Alli should be the four attack-minded midfielders behind Sturridge.
