Speaking on Sky Sports News, David Ornstein has shared what he knows about Harry Kane and his transfer move after a bombshell report by The Sun.
Indeed, The Sun claim that Kane has agreed terms with Manchester City and that Daniel Levy has agreed to sell him for a mammoth £160m.
That would make Kane the British record transfer, and it would see Spurs pocket a huge windfall.
However, Ornstein doesn’t quite believe this to be the case, and he says that people at both City and Spurs have been taken by surprise by these reports.
What’s been said?
Ornstein clarified what he’s heard about Kane after these reports.
“I’ve got full respect for other’s reports but that’s not my information. Speaking to people at both clubs it’s taken them a little bit by surprise,” Ornstein said.
“If we focus on your question, because we know there’s interest there from Manchester City and we know that Harry Kane would like to leave Tottenham, we’ve reported that and talked about it on here in depth.
“So I don’t think there is a U-turn in Daniel Levy’s mind. If Manchester City get to the level he would expect, which we thought to be around £150m, this report says £160m, then there is potentially a conversation to be had.”

What’s the truth?
So, who is telling the truth?
The Sun claim that the deal has been all-but agreed, while Ornstein says that people within the two clubs don’t know where this story has come from.
The reality is that both The Sun and Ornstein could be telling the truth and using different sources from within the club.
Surely, Spurs and City will want to keep this move quiet until things are more advanced, so denying the deal to Ornstein makes sense.
We’ll just have to wait and see how this one plays out.
