David Ornstein has stated on his YouTube show that Dele Alli could be leaving Tottenham in January.

Alli being linked with a move away from Spurs is nothing new, PSG were trying to loan him in the summer, but for one reason or another, that move never came to fruition.

The journalist was asked whether or not Alli will be leaving Tottenham in January on his YouTube show.

Ornstein stated that Daniel Levy is a fan of Alli, but that he doesn’t fit into Mourinho’s system.

“PSG had a number of loan approaches knocked back by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who really likes Dele and wants him to stay.” David Ornstein said about the Tottenham star.

“I think they all agreed that they’d try to make this work out, but it hasn’t and isn’t working out.

“There’s been no bust up or fall out, but it feels like he doesn’t suit Jose Mourinho’s structure.”

Ornstein then went on to talk about whether or not the Tottenham star will move in January.

“It leads me to feel that Dele Alli will want to move in January, it’s just about whether or not it’s on loan or permanent.

“If it’s a club at Tottenham’s level or lower, you probably think it will be permanent, because if you went there on loan and it didn’t work out well, there’s possibly no way back.

“But if it was a so-called bigger club like a PSG then a loan would be suitable.”

The fact that we’re even talking about Dele Alli leaving Tottenham is a massive shame.

The midfielder was the PFA Young Player of the Year not so long ago, but his career looks as though it’s stagnated, and now, his best course of action may be to move away.

It’s disappointing, but it’s the truth.

Ornstein has hit the nail on the head when saying that he doesn’t fit into Mourinho’s system, and he may also be right in saying that he’ll want to leave in January.

Whatever happens, we can only hope that Alli gets back on track sooner rather than later.
