Arsenal are one of the most exciting teams in England heading into deadline day.

After the recent injury to Mohamed Elneny, the Gunners are in the market for a new midfielder, and it seems that Jorginho is now the most likely player to sign for the club, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

Jorginho, who currently plays for Chelsea, is no stranger to the Premier League. He joined the London club in 2018 and has been a regular starter for them ever since, winning the Champions League and the Europa League with the Blues.

The Italian international is known for his short passing and ability to dictate play from deep. He lacks physicality, but he reads the game brilliantly.

The Gunners have been linked with Jorginho over the past 24 hours and it appears that a deal is advancing.

The midfielder would bring a wealth of experience to Arsenal and may help the club as they push for the title.

The Gunners are currently top of the league and adding Jorginho to their squad could be the missing piece they need to maintain their position.

While Jorginho is a player that splits opinion, let’s not forget that just 13 months ago he was earning himself a podium position in the Ballon d’Or voting.

Arsenal had originally been linked with Moises Caicedo from Brighton, but the Seagulls have refused to sell. This has led the Gunners to Jorginho, who, with his proven ability at the highest level could be a great addition to the Arsenal team.

While he’s not as exciting as Caicedo, Jorginho’s potential arrival at Arsenal may be a smart move for the club.

His experience and ability to control play from deep will help Arsenal in games against top six rivals where they’re under pressure, and, of course, it adds another proven winner to the squad.
