Shaw Lane midfielder David Norris left Elland Road outfit Leeds United in February 2015.

Norris joined Leeds in the summer of 2012 and left the West Yorkshire outfit in February 2015.
As reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post, the midfielder parted company with the Whites after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
The 36-year-old midfielder has revealed that he had to leave due to Cellino’s policy of not having players above 30 years of age in the team.
The former Ipswich Town and Portsmouth midfielder has also praised the Leeds fans for their loyalty to the club.

“He didn’t want any players over 30 involved,” Norris told The Yorkshire Post about Cellino. “A few of us got pushed aside, but that is football sometimes. But what I most remember at Leeds is the fans.
“Clubs usually have a hardcore minority, but at Leeds the hardcore are the majority. They absolutely love the club and follow it everywhere.”

Leeds narrowly failed to finish in the top six of the Championship last season and are aiming to clinch a playoff spot this campaign.
The West Yorkshire outfit started the 2017-18 campaign strongly, but their performances and results in recent weeks have been disappointing.
It is imperative that Thomas Christiansen’s side put together a run of positive results in the Championship after the international break.
