Tottenham Hotspur should be focusing on David Neres.

David Neres of Ajax looks on during the Dutch Eredivisie match between Ajax Amsterdam and Feyenoord at Amsterdam ArenA on April 2, 2017 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Over the past fortnight Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with signing Ajax defender Mattijs De Ligt.

The Telegraph reported the centre-back in on their radar, but there is another Ajax player who will have impressed Tottenham’s scouts this weekend.

Attacker David Neres was the standout, with the Brazilian forward scoring the winning goal as Ajax beat Heracles 1-0.

Neres was a danger throughout the game, landing two shots on target, creating four chances for his teammates, and completing more dribbles (5) than any player on the pitch.

And just like Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino will demand of his attackers, Neres pressed from the front too, making a team high five tackles.

He has 11 goals this season and 10 assists, and is a player already on Tottenham’s radar.

Goal reported in February that Spurs are considering a summer bid for the winger, who is just 21-years-old.

Neres plays as a right winger, and would add serious depth to one of the Premier League’s best attacks.

He would be an alternative to Bordeaux forward Malcom or Wilfried Zaha, who have both since been linked despite Tottenham signing Lucas Moura in January.

Spurs have raided Ajax regularly in recent seasons, and Neres’ form is making him hard to ignore.
