Landing David Neres from Ajax could rank as Everton’s most exciting signing under Marcel Brands yet.

According to UOL, Everton are interested in snapping up Neres in the summer transfer window for a fee of over £38 million.

The Toffees feel that Neres could enhance the quality of their attack, and if he was to arrive at Goodison Park it would be a stunning deal.

Neres has developed a reputation as one of the most exciting attacking talents in Europe.

At the age of just 22, the Brazilian has plenty of room to improve, and Everton could be the perfect place for him.

Marco Silva is developing a young squad on Merseyside, as he looks to help many promising talents fulfil their potential.

If Neres was to arrive at Everton he would join a strong Brazilian contingent at the club, with Richarlison and Bernard already there and starring.

Ajax's Bertrand Traore (L) celebrates with Ajax's David Neres (R) after scoring a goal during the eredivisie match between NEC Nijmegen and Ajax on April 8, 2017 in Nijmegen.

Neres is blessed with pace and skill, and he also has the end product to capitalise when in advanced positions.

The trickster has claimed 11 goals and 15 assists over the course of the campaign so far, and if he was to arrive at Everton then it would be Brands’ most eye-catching piece of business with the Toffees to date.
