Sunderland have signed Adnan Januzaj on loan from Manchester United.
David Moyes has told the Chronicle that Sunderland’s Adnan Januzaj needs to work on his body language when on the pitch.
Januzaj has joined Sunderland from Manchester United on loan, and he has shown flashes of brilliance since moving to the Stadium of Light.
The Belgian creator was at his very best, as Sunderland beat Watford 1-0 in their most recent outing.
However, Moyes admits that there are times when Januzaj looks like he isn’t committed, due to his style of play.
“I have told him he has to look as if he’s running a bit harder, sometimes his body language gives you the feeling that he’s not,” Moyes said of the talented youngster.
“But he’s capable of winning games. He’s not quite doing it yet, but I have great belief he will.
“He’s got the ability to do it and score goals, he had a couple of one-against-one opportunities [against Chelsea last week], instances you feel you would fancy to get in a shot.”
Januzaj has played a rotational role at Sunderland so far, as he has been unable to hold down a first-team place.
The 21-year-old has made 12 appearances for the Black Cats to date this season – and he has scored on one occasion.
Januzaj will be unavailable to start in Sunderland’s next match, which comes against his parent club, Manchester United, on Boxing Day.
