The Black Cats have only managed one point in their four games so far.

Sunderland manager David Moyes has told the Chronicle that his side must find a way to provide more ammunition to Jermain Defoe.
The veteran striker was the hero for the Black Cats last season as his 15 goals in the Premier League almost single-handedly kept them in the division.
Their failure to add serious competition to him in the summer transfer window means they are once again reliant on his goals this season.

So far he has managed to maintain that form with two goals in three games but Moyes has urged his side to find more ammunition to help out the forward.
“We have to find a way of getting better service to Jermain, of improving our build-up if we can,” he told the Chronicle.
“We have to work harder on getting more crosses into the box because as a club our average is low. I want us to improve our attacking play. I want us to create more chances and score more goals.”
Sunderland’s Jermain Defoe
A look at the stats certainly shows that Sunderland need to start creating more chances if they are to help Defoe.
As a team, they have managed just 27 key passes and three big chances created in their four games so far, both of which put them in the bottom five in the division.
Those two stats clearly show Defoe is working on scraps and it is something that will need to be changed quickly if the Black Cats are to avoid relegation once again.
