West Ham United were woeful against Swansea City today.
West Ham were soundly beaten by Swansea City in the relegation six-pointer at the Liberty Stadium today, and David Moyes appeared crestfallen, as he spoke to reporters during his post-match press conference, as quoted by Football.London.
The Hammers now sit precariously in 14th position in the Premier League table, three points clear of the drop zone, having played a game more than 18th placed Crystal Palace.
Moyes undoubtedly made an impact when he took over at the London Stadium back in November, but stagnation seems to have set in at the club in recent weeks, and they have won just one league game out of their last six outings.
Moyes was visibly angry with his side’s display when he faced the media today, and delivered an offhand response when asked whether the long journey from London to Swansea in treacherous weather had an impact on the outcome of the game, as quoted by Football.London:
“Absolutely not.”
Next up for the east London outfit is a home game against Burnley on Saturday, and nothing less than a win will do, as they look to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone.
