David Moyes had the opportunity to sign Joe Hart while at Sunderland, but is now set to link up with the England international at West Ham United.

Sunderland had the opportunity to snap up Hart during his time in charge at the Stadium of Light, but Moyes felt as if he had better options.
Moyes decided to allow Jordan Pickford to be his side’s number one for the season, and that decision seems vindicated now.

“When I arrived, Vito Mannone was probably the No 1 on experience but his injury meant we needed to turn to Jordan and he has stood up to all we’ve asked of him,” Moyes said in 2016.
“I could have brought in Joe Hart, we thought he would have been ideal for us, but I had to think of Jordan’s progression too and he hasn’t let us down.”
Moyes will have the chance to link up with Hart in the near future, despite his previous refusal to sign the Manchester City loanee.

Moyes is set to take over from Slaven Bilic at West Ham, with the Hammers looking to put a stop to their poor form.
West Ham are currently in 18th place in the Premier League table, with fears that they could be relegated rising.
West Ham were beaten 4-1 by Liverpool in their most recent fixture, and that defeat has proven to be the final straw for Bilic.
Hart has been a mainstay in West Ham’s team so far this season, but his form has seen him receive some criticism.
