West Ham United are reportedly chasing a deal for Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

West Ham United manager David Moyes has told the London Evening Standard that he thinks his relationship with Everton chairman Bill Kenwright could help him as the transfer deadline approaches.
The Hammers have tied up one new addition this month, bringing in midfielder Joao Mario on loan from Inter Milan until the end of the season on Friday.
However, Moyes remains in the market for new signings, and a midfielder figures to be West Ham’s top target before Wednesday’s transfer deadline having been linked with a host of midfielders.

The latest link is to Everton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, with the Daily Mail’s transfer blog (14:19) claiming that West Ham are willing to pay £20million for the Frenchman – just £4million shy of Everton’s asking price.
West Ham will now hope to secure a deal for the former Manchester United and Southampton midfielder before the deadline, and manager Moyes has commented on the situation.
Some believe that Moyes’ relationship with former club Everton could help West Ham strike a deal for Schneiderlin, and Moyes has told the London Evening Standard that he feels he has strong enough ties to the likes of Bill Kenwright to help facilitate a deal for an Everton player.

Moyes was coy on a move for Schneiderlin, but added that he doesn’t think his links to Kenwright would result in a cut-price deal for any Toffees ace.
“I have got a great relationship with [Everton chairman] Bill Kenwright, and I obviously know an awful lot of the members of the backroom staff and people around the club,” said Moyes. “So if I needed any information or needed to discuss any players I have ins if you want to call them that.”
“But I don’t think it will change when it comes to prices or anything like that. So it’s one of many names that have been mentioned,” he added.
