David Moyes worked with Leighton Baines at Everton.

Baines did not feature for Everton in their Premier League game against West Ham at Goodison Park this past Sunday evening.
The 33-year-old left-back was an unused substitute, as summer signing from Barcelona Lucas Digne played instead.
Former West Ham and Everton manager Moyes has suggested that Baines – who has been at the Merseyside outfit since 2007 – is still good enough to play regularly for the Toffees.
Moyes said on Sky Sports Premier League this past Sunday evening (6:20pm, September 16, 2018): “I think from what I saw from Leighton Baines at the end of last season, he was still as good as he was early on, maybe not quite at his peak when he was younger, but I have got to say he is still a very steady left-back.”

Still good enough?
Digne is clearly the future of Everton, and the Toffees have to give the 25-year-old left-back some time to adapt to the Premier League.
The France international is a very good player, and the former Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona man can only improve if he plays regularly and is afforded patience.
Everton are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with six points from five matches, six points behind sixth-placed Watford.
