The Manchester United youngster is available on loan and he would be a big hit at Sunderland.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has told Andreas Pereira that he should go out on loan next season before returning to fight for his place at Old Trafford in 12 months.
That is no surprise when you consider the sheer number of attacking options at United right now, and former boss David Moyes would be wise to bring him to his new club Sunderland.
The Black Cats are in need of additional attacking threat and Pereira has that in abundance. He would also arrive at the Stadium of Light knowing that Mourinho will be watching him very closely, motivated to perform week in, week out by the prospect of ultimately succeeding in Manchester.
The 20-year-old enjoyed his breakthrough campaign last time out, making 11 appearances in all competitions and scoring in a League Cup victory against Ipswich Town.
Pereira also has 10 goals and seven assists in 46 matches at under-21 level and he scored on his debut for Brazil’s under-23 side having turned out for Belgium’s youth teams earlier in his career.
Moyes will be looking to build on the great work Sam Allardyce did at Sunderland and one way to do that is by injecting more magic into the side.
Pereira possesses plenty of that and all he needs is regular first-team football to prove his worth.
Able to play on either wing, as an attacking midfielder, a secondary striker of a centre forward, Pereira has it all.
Moyes should know that from his time at Old Trafford, and he would be wise to make a move now he is at Sunderland before someone else does.
