West Ham United are currently in all sorts of trouble.
Hammers boss David Moyes addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s bitterly disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Burnley yesterday, and delivered a passionate message to the Hammers faithful, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The east London outfit are currently in the midst of a miserable run of form, having won just one league game since January 13th, and they now sit precariously in 16th spot in the Premier League table, just three points clear of the drop zone.
Moyes’ initial impact at the club has long passed, and the players must somehow find an extra gear during the next few weeks and months, if they are to excavate themselves from the trouble that they are in.
The Scot spoke to reporters after his side’s embarrassing display at home to Sean Dyche’s men, and delivered a message to the West Ham fans, insisting that he will leave no stone unturned as he looks to guide his side away from trouble, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“We massively have to stick together. If anything now, I’d say to the supporters, I’ll do everything I can for the players, I’ll get them the best I can get them, the best mental condition, the best nick, and if we’re not good enough that’s something else. I want the supporters to feel that as well.”
The Hammers have to wait until March 31st before they play again – a home match against Southampton, and with the south coast outfit just below them in the table, nothing less than a win will do for Moyes’ men.
