Moyes spoke to the media ahead of his side’s six-point clash with Allardyce’s men, and took the opportunity to highlight the excellent work done by his predecessor during his time in the north-east, as quoted by ITV Sport:
“We’ve got a lot to thank Sam for. For the good work he did here at Sunderland. So I think the players have got a lot to thank Sam for.”
