The West Ham United forward is currently in the midst of a superb run of form.
West Ham boss David Moyes raved about the quality of Marko Arnautovic, when writing a column for the club’s official website, labelling the Austrian as a ‘great signing by the club’.
The 28-year-old has been quite simply sensational for the Hammers since scoring his first goal for the club against Chelsea back in December.
He has now notched up an impressive nine goals and four assists in 25 Premier League outings, with all of those coming in the last four months.
Quite where West Ham would be without the Austrian doesn’t bear thinking about, and Moyes was keen to highlight that fact when writing a column for the club’s official website:
“Without him, it could be very different, but that’s football and that’s why the Club paid £20 million. It was a great signing by the Club and we saw the potential in what he could do and I’ve got to say that Marko himself has stepped up to the plate.”
Moyes deserves a lot of the credit for Arnie’s greatly improved form since December, though, after he decided to utilise the 28-year-old as a centre-forward, rather than a left winger.
With six games remaining this term, the Hammers are still well within reach of a top 10 finish, but if they are to have any chance of doing just that, they will need Arnautovic to be at his very best between now and the end of the season.
