West Ham United manager David Moyes has told The Mirror that Adrian will not leave in the January transfer window.

Adrian is struggling for playing time at the moment, with Manchester City-owned Joe Hart the first-choice goalkeeper for West Ham.

England international custodian Hart, who joined the Hammers on a season-long loan deal from Premier League rivals City in the summer transfer window, has featured in all 14 league matches for the London club so far this season.

With the 30-year-old ineligible to face his parent club City at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon, Adrian is set to start in the Premier League encounter.

West Ham manager Moyes has made it clear that the 30-year-old Spaniard, who joined the club back in the summer of 2013 when Sam Allardyce was in charge, will not leave the London Stadium in the January transfer window.

The former Everton, Manchester United and Sunderland manager has also suggested where Hart needs to improve.

“I need two experienced goalkeepers,” Moyes told The Mirror about Adrian. “He won’t be leaving here in January.”

“I was disappointed with his kicking at Everton — and I told him it was poor,” Moyes told The Sun about Hart. “He should either be putting the ball into the stand or somewhere else.

“It has been mixed with Joe. I’ve seen some good stuff and I’ve seen stuff which hasn’t been so good. I couldn’t say all of it has been great but I think Joe would be the first one to admit that as well.”

West Ham are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
