West Ham United have managed to take four points from their last two matches.
David Moyes has shown how the mood is changing at West Ham United, as his decision to start Michail Antonio up-front with Marko Arnautovic has been praised rather than ridiculed.
Arnautovic and Antonio have worked in tandem in West Ham’s last two matches, which have come against Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Hammers have managed to pick up four points from their last two contests against their London rivals, and Moyes’ decision to start Arnautovic and Antonio together has now been vindicated.
The pair have pressed from the front and troubled the defences of the Champions League chasing pair.
Moyes would have known that by picking Arnautovic and Antonio together he was taking a huge risk, though, as if it had not worked out, it would have backfired badly.
West Ham have so many natural forwards that questions would have been asked about why the likes of Diafra Sakho or Antonio Martinez were not starting, if Antonio and Arnautovic didn’t work well together.
Hammers fans have been calling for Martinez to be given a chance all season, but all of a sudden those shouts have quietened down.
And Moyes is now getting praise for a decision which could have been used against him, had things not gone according to plan.
