David Moyes has been appointed the new West Ham United manager.
Moyes has been appointed as the West Ham manager following the departure of Slaven Bilic.
The Hammers are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
The London club are currently third from bottom in the league table with just nine points from 11 matches.
Former Manchester United, Everton and Sunderland manager Moyes has outlined what his aim is for this season.
When asked by former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 live on Monday evening (8:15pm, November 13, 2017) what his realistic aim for this season is, Moyes said: “Well, for me, the first thing is to make sure that there is no chance that we are involved in the bottom end of the table.
“Realistically I am hoping that I can win more games than maybe people expect me to do, that’s what I hope to do.”
Moyes has also revealed that he has looked back at all the goals that West Ham have conceded so far this season, stating: “We have looked at all the goals we have conceded.”
West Ham have a good team, but the problem is that the players are not performing as well as they are supposed to.
The Hammers have looked vulnerable defensively as well, and this is an area that Moyes need to look at.
The London club need to put together a run of positive results in order to move up the Premier League table.
