David Moyes has remained coy when asked by Football.London, about West Ham United’s reported interest in Joao Mario.

Sky Sports have claimed that West Ham are interested in Inter Milan’s Joao Mario, as they look to bolster their squad in the January transfer window.

However, Moyes would not confirm nor deny the rumours at his latest press conference.

He said: “I’m not talking about players at other clubs. He’s a good player, an interesting player.”

Moyes has confirmed that West Ham are looking for a winger, and Joao Mario could fill that void in their squad.

The Portuguese international moved to Inter for £38 million just 18 months ago, but he has failed to make too much of an impression at the San Siro.

Joao Mario has shown flashes of quality, but he has not been able to consistently perform to a high standard and Inter could now cash in.

West Ham are thought to be his keenest admirers, with Moyes aiming to strengthen his attacking ranks.

West Ham are yet to make a signing this month, but Moyes has assured supporters that he does have money to spend on new players.
