Sunderland boss David Moyes watched Jason Cummings in Hibernian’s most recent match.

David Moyes has played down rumours of Sunderland making a move for Hibernian striker Jason Cummings, with this comments in the Chronicle.
According to the Scottish Sun, Sunderland are preparing to bid £2 million for Cummings.
The 22-year-old striker has hit 16 league goals in 24 appearances in the Scottish Championship this season.
And Moyes added fuel to the rumours, when he was spotted at Hibernian’s most recent match.
However, when asked whether he was interested in Cummings, Moyes was very guarded with his response.
“I watch football a lot,” Moyes said. “The other weekend I went up and watched some games in Scotland – well documented I think. Wherever I go it looks like I’m signing every player from every club.”
Sunderland have been accused of already preparing for life in the Championship, after some of their recent transfer links.
Sunderland have also been rumoured to be interested in Glasgow Rangers hitman Martyn Waghorn.
But Moyes insists that Sunderland are still planning to be a Premier League club next season.
“I am only looking at the next game and preparing for next year in the Premier League,” Moyes said. “When it becomes (certain) one way or another, I’ll know what I’m doing.”
