Reports this week have suggested that West ham United are to offer Manuel Lanzini a new contract at the London Stadium.

West Ham United manager David Moyes has told media in his Friday press conference, as quoted by the Hammers’ official website, that the club will not offer Manuel Lanzini a new contract until the end of the season.
The Evening Standard this week have suggested that 25-year-old playmaker Lanzini is to be offered a new deal in order to deter interest in the Argentine’s services ahead of the summer transfer window, as he remains on £35,000 a week.
The former River Plate star signed a four-year permanent deal in the summer of 2016 after starring in a season-long loan with the Hammers throughout the 2015-16 campaign.

With speculation rife over Lanzini’s future as the likes of Liverpool lurk, Moyes responded to questions regarding the Evening Standard’s report by stating that the Hammers would not offer Lanzini a new deal until top-flight safety is secured.
“You always want to keep your best players but there’s no truth in that yet,” Moyes said. “We won’t look at that until we know what league we are in.”

Lanzini returned from a hamstring injury on Saturday during the 4-1 defeat to Liverpool, after missing three consecutive Premier League games against Brighton, Watford and Crystal Palace.
He has been in excellent form when fit this season, scoring three goals and turning provider on a further eight assists for the Hammers throughout his 21 league and cup appearances.
Lasting an hour at Anfield, Lanzini is expected to start on Saturday as West Ham travel to Wales to face Swansea City.
