West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has been linked with Chelsea in the January transfer window.
According to The Sun, Chelsea are interested in signing Andy Carroll from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the January transfer window.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is considering making a move for the former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker.
Conte is reportedly looking for a back-up to first-choice striker Alvaro Morata and is considering the 28-year-old England international.
Carroll joined West Ham on a permanent contract from Liverpool in the summer of 2013 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £15 million after spending the 2012-13 season on loan at the Hammers.
West Ham manager David Moyes, though, does not seem to be aware of the speculation linking the former Liverpool and Newcastle United striker with a move to Chelsea.
“I have no idea about that,” Moyes told Sky Sports when asked about Carroll’s potential move to Chelsea.
Moyes has also stated what he wants in the January transfer window and told BBC Sport (22:08): “We need a lot in the transfer window but if I can get one or two I’ll be happy.”
West Ham are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 22 points from as many matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
