West Ham United boss David Moyes has told Football.London that he thinks Said Benrahma had a real impact in both boxes last night.
The Hammers took on Fulham on Saturday night, and it looked like being something of a frustrating evening as a number of chances went begging.
Alphonse Areola made a host of superb saves whilst Sebastien Haller and Aaron Cresswell both rattled the woodwork, and it seemed like it just wasn’t going to be their night.
However, substitute Benrahma picked out Tomas Soucek in the box, and he fired in a late winner for West Ham.
There was still more drama to come though, as Benrahma tripped Tom Cairney inside the area, only for Ademola Lookman to squander the resulting penalty.
From the highs of a first Premier League assist to then fearing he had cost West Ham two points, Benrahma went through a range of emotions in a short space of time – but at least impressed Moyes.

Moyes suggested that Benrahma, recently signed from Brentford, is a ‘really good player’, and had an impact in both boxes after being introduced as a substitute.
Moyes added that he hopes the ‘class’ of Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen has been noticed in recent weeks, and he won’t expect too much from Benrahma just yet as he is only just rising up from the Championship.
“I hope you have seen Fornals and Bowen’s class as well in recent weeks so we have got really good competition in those positions,” said Moyes. “Said is a really good player, I have had lots of players from the Championship that I don’t expect too much from too quickly. He had an impact in both boxes but thankfully it went well for us,” he added.
