Rangers and Celtic are currently leading the way by a distance in the Scottish Premiership.

David Moyes, Manager of Sunderland gives his team instructions during the Premier League match between Arsenal and Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on May 16, 2017 in London, England.

David Moyes has told Bein Sports that he believes both Celtic and Rangers would finish in mid-table positions if they were dropped into the English Premier League.

Celtic and Rangers have dominated Scottish football for decades now, with the pair consistently battling it out for silverware.

The debate always exists over where Rangers and Celtic would finish, if they are thrown into the Premier League.

And Moyes thinks that the Glasgow pair would cope well in England.

“I think if Celtic or Rangers were in the Premier League, I think both teams would certainly be mid-table or better in England because of the support base, once they got the funding,” the Scottish boss said.

Celtic and Rangers would have far more money at their disposal if they were playing in the Premier League, and with their huge fan bases, they would surely have the spending power to compete.

Back in Scotland, Rangers and Celtic look set to do battle with each other for another season.
