West Ham United have taken Joao Mario on loan from Inter Milan for the rest of the season.

The Portuguese international was handed his full debut for West Ham in midweek, when they took on Crystal Palace, and his performance was highly impressive.
Joao Mario was arguably the Hammers’ best player on the night, as Moyes’ side picked up a 1-1 draw against Palace.

And Moyes says that he believes Joao Mario will improve West Ham’s squad.
“I have been consistent over the last month in wanting only to sign players who would make us better and stronger,” Moyes said.
“I believe the West Ham fans would agree with me that, on the evidence of Joao Mario’s full debut for us against Crystal Palace on Tuesday, we have certainly added quality to our squad.”
Joao Mario now looks likely to have a key role to play at West Ham, with both Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini out injured.

Joao Mario has the task of being West Ham’s main creator, and Moyes will be relying on him to maintain his good form.
The 25-year-old is now expected to start for West Ham in their next match, which comes against Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.
If Moyes’ side can pick up the three points they will could move into the top half of the Premier League table.
