West Ham United goalkeeper Joe Hart has caught the eye with his performances in training.
Hart was taken out of West Ham’s starting line-up, after a shaky period of form, back in November.
The England international then had to watch from the sidelines as Adrian held down the number one spot at the London Stadium.
However, Hart has returned to West Ham’s net recently, and caught the eye.
Hart put in a fine performance in West Ham’s last outing against Chelsea, as Moyes’ side picked up a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
The 30-year-old now seems to have re-established himself as the Hammers’ number one, and Moyes admits that the experienced goalkeeper has responded well to being dropped.
“Joe handled the situation really well,” he said. “He wasn’t happy but he handled it well, he trained well, he didn’t let anything affect his work or his training, when obviously he must have been extremely disappointed.
“I’m trying not to make too big a deal about Joe’s performance, that’s what Joe has to do, that’s his job. The more I talk about it, the more I’m making it sound as though, ‘Did Joe not make good saves throughout his career?’
“Joe doing that’s no surprise — it’s what he’s done throughout his career. That’s why I said, ‘Well done’, but no more than that because that’s his job.”
West Ham are next in action this evening, when they take on Stoke City.
If the Hammers can win the fixture then Moyes’ side will take a giant step closer to safety, as they will move nine points clear of the drop zone.
