Sunderland are yet to win a Premier League match this season.
Sunderland boss David Moyes has told the Chronicle that he believes Didier N’Dong, Paddy McNair and Jordan Pickford will benefit from the start his side have had.
N’Dong, McNair and Pickford have all featured for Sunderland this term, and the trio have been thrown in at the deep end.
The Black Cats have a vast amount of pressure on them at the moment, as they have failed to win any of their first eight Premier League matches.
But Moyes feels that the experience of playing in an out-of-form team, should make his young players stronger.
“Didier, McNair, they are getting games young and they will benefit. Pickford too,” the former Manchester United and Everton manager said.
“I want people to come and embrace the area and what we have got up here. “
N’Dong and McNair both joined Sunderland last summer, and have made positive impressions at the Stadium of Light.
N’Dong has shown glimpses of promise in the early stages of his Black Cats’ career, while McNair scored twice in the EFL Cup against Queens Park Rangers.
Pickford’s performances have also been a major positive for Sunderland, with the young stopper arguably being Moyes’ side’s best player so far this season.
Sunderland are next in action against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday.
