The West Ham United youngster has really impressed this season.
Hammers boss David Moyes addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur last night, and offered high words of praise for Declan Rice, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
The 18-year-old has performed magnificently this season, when called upon, making 11 Premier League appearances and showcasing certain levels of maturity that defy his tender years.
The Irishman has really proved that he is 100 per cent ready for the Premier League, and he looks like a superb prospect for the future.

Moyes spoke to reporters after last night’s draw with Spurs, and chose to single out Rice for praise, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London:
“Sometimes this is the way football is and tonight the players showed great resolve to get in the way of things. Young Declan played really well so really well, I have to say.”
The east London outfit have suffered unfortunate luck with injuries in the defensive department this season, with the likes of Jose Fonte, Winston Reid and James Collins all spending spells on the sidelines, but it could turn out to be a blessing in disguise, with Rice’s emergence.
And the 18-year-old will be hoping for more opportunities after his fine recent run of form.
