The Sunderland boss has told the striker to score the goals and prove himself this season.

Sunderland manager David Moyes has issued a challenge to Victor Anichebe to score goals and prove his worth, speaking to the Daily Star.
Anichebe joined the Black Cats on a free transfer earlier this week after being released by West Bromwich Albion in the summer.
He has been added to provide much-needed competition to first choice forward Jermain Defoe, who almost singlehandedly kept them in the Premier League last season.
Some fans have questioned the move, especially given the fact that Anichebe has managed just 16 goals in 94 appearances since 2012.

And Moyes has challenged him to dispel those doubts by going out and scoring the goals his side needs.
“I would like to get back to the Victor I know who at times can be unplayable. But first has to get himself in a condition to do that,” he told the Daily Star.
“I need to feel he is ready and has something to prove. We have kept him on a short leash, with just a one-year deal here. It is up to him to get on the pitch and score goals. He will give us something else.”

The onus is very much on Anichebe to prove himself at the Stadium of Light this season.
It is fair to say things did not to go plan at West Bromwich Albion following his move from Everton and his career has hit something of a standstill.
Should he go on and impress for the Black Cats this season, though, not many will be questioning Moyes decision to reunite with him in the North East.
