Sunderland lost 4-1 to Arsenal at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
David Moyes has told the Sunderland Echo that he was most disappointed with the goals that Sunderland conceded from crosses during their heavy 4-1 loss to Arsenal on Saturday.
The Black Cats were well beaten by the Gunners, but Arsene Wenger’s side’s goals were not scored via their usual slick passing play.
Instead, Arsenal benefitted from scoring three crosses during the contest.
Alexis Sanchez first beat Lamine Kone in the air to nod Arsenal in front, before Olivier Giroud showed his aerial prowess to score twice after coming off the substitutes’ bench.
And Moyes said: “The biggest thing which disappointed me was that we lost goals from crosses.
“If you asked me what I would want Arsenal to do and it would be to cross it.”
Sunderland’s loss to Arsenal has been a major disappointment, and it means that they have now made the worst start to a Premier League season ever.
Sunderland have taken just two points from their first 10 league matches, and they still have not picked up a league win under David Moyes.
The Black Cats are already seven points adrift of safety, and there are concerns that they will be relegated without putting up much of a fight this season.
Sunderland’s next match comes against Bournemouth at Dean Court on Saturday.
