West Ham United manager David Moyes has hinted he’ll start Gianluca Scamacca tonight, as per football.london.
The 24-year-old Hammers forward has been the subject of speculation about his future in recent weeks.
Despite being available for the last few weeks, Scamacca has barely been used by Moyes.
The Italian has been an unused substitute in West Ham’s last four Premier League games.
Scamacca has also not started for the Hammers since 4 January, when he scored in the league meeting with Leeds.
Now, it looks as though the £71,000-a-week (Salarysport) ace will get his chance to impress against Larnaca.
The West Ham website admitted Scamacca is “set to start”, while Moyes himself has all-but confirmed it.
As per football.london, the Hammers boss said: Yes it is (likely he’ll start). A good chance.
“We want him back. He’s got something. We like him a lot. He is a great boy. A really good boy. In fact, a very good boy.
“We want him to do well. we want our Gianluca back who we had from August to November.
“The one we have got right now looks slightly different.
“We need him to get back to those levels because we could use him, we could play him, he scored some goals, had some contributions, was still growing into it.”

West Ham lead Larnaca 2-0 ahead of their Europa Conference League last-16 second leg at the London Stadium.
It looks as though Moyes is eager for Scamacca to succeed and looks set to give him that chance tonight.
Admittedly, it’s unusual for the manager to confirm any player is starting ahead of a match. He usually keeps his cards really close to his chest.
Nonetheless, perhaps he’s eager to nip the Scamacca speculation in the bud. It’s not good for it to be surfacing with so much of the season still left.
