Everton’s new stadium has already become a talking point in the Premier League, but David Moyes has pointed out a minor detail he expects will improve over time.

Leaving Goodison Park was never going to be easy, but the move to Hill Dickinson Stadium has not been too tough on fans or players thanks to its impressive, modern facilities.

While there are plenty of positives already clear about Hill Dickinson, a few negatives have surfaced as well. Complaints have ranged from access issues to the choice of music inside the ground. Now, Moyes has offered his perspective.

While the Scotsman was mostly complimentary about Everton’s new home ground, he did mention one thing that has been bothering him.

Moyes spoke to Jeff Stelling on talkSPORT Live about how the team has settled into their new ground, and overall, he seems quite happy with how things are going.

The 62-year-old coach responded: “We’re pretty pleased with the start we’ve made at Hill Dickinson. After the first six games we were higher in the league but we’ve had some tough away games… we’ve been to Sunderland, Anfield, difficult games.

“I’m pleased with our home form, it can be difficult in a new stadium, it takes time to settle, but we’ve settled in quite quickly. It’s a brilliant stadium. It’s what we needed.”

The manager has already highlighted how important Hill Dickinson is to Everton’s growth, though he did point out one aspect of the matchday experience that still needs a bit of work.

“There are moments in the stadium where the atmosphere has been out of this world. And there are moments of quiet too, as it’s so big. But that’s a case of fans getting used to it and knowing their seats and the people around them etc,” he stated.

Hill Dickinson Stadium is making a big impact for Everton

Putting aside the minor issues, it has been a strong start for Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Fans from other clubs have taken notice too. Fulham supporters, despite their team coming up short this weekend, had good things to say about the new stadium.

It is already being mentioned among the top stadiums in England and beyond, and Everton are likely to see benefits both on and off the pitch as a result.

Take Tottenham Hotspur as an example – their move into a new ground brought significant commercial growth. There is every reason to believe Everton could follow that path.

With plans to increase capacity to 62,000 seats and potential rugby fixtures being considered, there is even more revenue on the horizon. It looks like Hill Dickinson is set to become an important asset for Everton’s future.
