It was a dreadful night for West Ham United on Saturday.

Well, they drew 0-0 with Fulham and therefore avoided defeat, but it still wasn’t a great result for the Irons.

Not only did they drop two points against a relegation-threatened team and see Tomas Soucek issued a straight red card in stoppage time, but West Ham also had a scare when Michail Antonio went off on 74 minutes.

Antonio pulled up in the final quarter with what looked like some sort of muscular injury.

But speaking to West Ham’s official website, manager David Moyes has revealed good news about the 30-year-old attacker, claiming that he thinks it was only a case of simple fatigue.

He said: “I don’t think it’s anything serious for Michail Antonio. I think he just felt as if he was beginning to fatigue.”

West Ham can’t afford an injury to Antoino.

Moyes failed to sign a striker to replace Sebastien Haller in the January transfer window and therefore the former Nottingham Forest star is far more important now.

Remember, the East Londoners have an outside chance of finishing in the top four as things stand, with Moyes’s side only one point behind fourth-placed Liverpool.

And an injury to Antonio – who has five goals and three assists in 15 Premier League games this season – could’ve been detrimental.
