West Ham United have been linked with a plethora of players in the January transfer window but are yet to make signing.
West Ham have turned a corner under David Moyes and sit 11th after a superb 4-1 win at Huddersfield at the weekend.
The Hammers have been linked with more than 30 players in the window so far from Alfie Mawson to Andre Schurrle.
But halfway through the window they are yet to land any new signings.
Supporters are growing increasingly frustrated having been underwhelmed by the club’s recruitment and lack of spending since their much-feted move to the London Stadium in 2016.
Fans have turned on co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold over a string of broken promises dangled as a carrot to leave Upton Park.
One of their big grievances is what they see as interference from the owners – and particularly Sullivan who takes a lead on transfer business – when it comes to recruitment at West Ham.
When Moyes was appointed in November he was keen to make a point that he would have the final say on transfers.
“I would be diligent,” Moyes told whufc.com.
“I don’t do things very quickly. I like to see players live myself.
“It was always my rule that I’d only do it if I’ve seen the players live, because I’d treat the club’s money like my own money and wouldn’t give it away too easily.”
It comes after Moyes remarked to the press recently that he has “started to learn a bit about West Ham, we seem to be linked with everybody.”
Seemingly exasperated by the sheer number of names being linked with the club it also ties in with comments from former boss Slaven Bilic who revealed that whenever he wanted a player and came close to signing them ‘three or four other names would suddenly come into the picture’.
