The Times are reporting that David Moyes snubbed the chance to return to Everton from West Ham United.
What’s the story?
Everton are looking for a manager following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti at the start of the month.
Ancelotti decided to step down from his role at Everton to go back to Real Madrid.
The Toffees reportedly looked at Moyes.
The Scotsman was the manager of the Merseyside club from 2002 until 2013 and was a huge success at Goodison Park.
However, Moyes decided not to be swayed by Everton and signed a new three-year contract with the Hammers earlier this month.
The Times are reporting that the 58-year-old was the first-choice managerial candidate for Everton.

However, the Scotsman turned down the chance to go back to Goodison Park.
That’s because Moyes remembered ‘the handful of occasions he had previously been offered the chance to return only for the line to go cold’, according to the report.
Sensible decision
Everton are a big and established club in the Premier League.
However, West Ham will play in the Europa League next season, and it was Moyes who got the Hammers there.
The Scotsman knows that he could do great things with West Ham.
