The West Ham United manager is only on a short-term contract in charge of the club.

West Ham boss David Moyes spoke exclusively to the club’s official website after he and his players beat Dagenham and Redbridge in a friendly last night, and shared how he plans to use this next week to scout out possible destinations for pre-season training, in what is his biggest hint yet that he will still be in charge next term.
The Hammers have endured a woeful campaign this season, and currently sit precariously in 17th position in the Premier League table, just two points clear of next week’s opponents Southampton.
Moyes undoubtedly had a positive impact when he was handed the reigns at the London Stadium way back in November, but the wheels have come off in dramatic fashion since the turn of the year.

The east London outfit have won just one Premier League game since January 13th, with relegation to the Championship looming large, and Moyes really has his work cut-out, if his side are to avoid the drop.
The Scot spoke to reporters following his side’s friendly win over Dagenham, and shared how he will be scouting out venues for West Ham’s pre-season training bases over the course of this next week, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“I’m actually going to use the end of the week and over the weekend to go and visit the pre-season sites for where we’re going to pre-season, so I’ll try and go and get that done correctly. En route, I’ll take in a game or two and see if I can see some of the players play in international games. I want to do it myself and make sure that we get things right. There are things that I’m doing that I’ve done in the past and I’ve got to go and see two or three training sites and I’m going to spend this weekend going and looking at pre-season camps and getting everything in place for the start of next season, really.”
If West Ham lose at home to Southampton on March 31st, they will find themselves inside the bottom three, and with matches against Chelsea and Arsenal on the horizon, their backs really would be up against the wall.
