David Moyes confirms Joe Hart will start for West Ham United
West Ham United boss David Moyes has told the club’s official website that Joe Hart will “definitely start” Tuesday’s League Cup quarter-final trip to Arsenal.
Adrian has successfully displaced Hart as West Ham’s first-choice goalkeeper and that does not look like changing anytime soon following a series of brilliant performances.
The Manchester City-owned goalkeeper lost his place due to being ineligible to face his parent club last month and the Spaniard has certainly gripped the chance with both hands.
However, Moyes has revealed that the 30-year-old will start tomorrow as the Irons travel across London for a last-eight clash with Arsene Wenger’s side.
Moyes told West Ham’s website: “Joe Hart will definitely start tomorrow night. He’s been very good around the place and he’s ready to play.”
Whatever happens at the Emirates, Hart is very unlikely to displace Adrian until the Sam Allardyce signing gives Moyes reason to doubt his abilities.
For the moment, the Scottish manager simply must be delighted with him and his performances have certainly coincided with the Hammers’ resurgent form.
United go to Arsenal after taking seven points from their last three games, having beaten Chelsea and Stoke over the past eight days, and drawn with the Gunners.
