David Moyes suggested on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (7:41am, November 26, 2018) that West Ham United cannot afford to sell Marko Arnautovic amid speculation that Manchester United want the former Stoke City star.

Arnautovic, who can operate as a forward or as a striker, is one of the best players on the books of West Ham at the moment.

The 29-year-old has scored five goals and provided one assist in 11 Premier League appearances for the Hammers so far this season, according to WhoScored.

During the 2017-18 campaign, the Australia international scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 28 league starts for the London club, according to WhoScored.

The Mirror has reported that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign Arnautovic from West Ham in the summer transfer window.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager worked with the 29-year-old ex-Stoke ace at Italian giants Inter Milan.

Former West Ham manager Moyes worked with Arnautovic at the London Stadium last season, and the ex-Everton and United boss has suggested that the Hammers cannot afford to sell the forward.

Moyes said about Arnautovic on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (7:41am, November 26, 2018): “He is really important to West Ham because they need him. Where do you get that level of striker now or a forward player?”
