David Moyes believes that Jordan Pickford would be making a huge mistake if he leaves Sunderland this summer.
The Black Cats have been relegated to the Championship, and consequently, a host of Premier League clubs are showing keen interest in some of their top players.
Pickford, 23, has been one of the brightest performers for Sunderland this season. He has worked his way into the England squad, and also made the PFA Young Player of the Year short-list.
His burgeoning progress has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, with Everton particularly having registered a strong interest in him.

According to reports from the Northern Echo, Pickford is set to move to Everton this summer.
The Toffees are reportedly set to launch a £17 million bid for Pickford, which should be enough to match Sunderland’s asking price.
However, Moyes believes that Pickford would regret leaving the Championship-bound club for a back-role in the top flight.
“At the moment, I really wouldn’t know. Obviously it’s up to the club,” said Moyes, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“If Jordan was to go elsewhere and not be the number one, that wouldn’t be good for him because that would affect his progress.
“You can see what he does for us with the saves he makes. He’s been outstanding from day one.
“I think that would be a telling factor if the alternative was to go and sit on the bench somewhere else.
“If I was Jordan I wouldn’t do that, I’d want to be playing regularly but again Sunderland hold his contract and Jordan can’t go anywhere unless we decide to let it happen.”
Should Pickford move to Everton, he is likely to go straight into Ronald Koeman’s starting line-up.
The Dutchman is thought to be unconvinced with both Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenburg. It is imperative that Koeman wants Pickford to start regularly if he is willing to pay such a hefty transfer fee.
