West Ham United have been linked with PSG midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United want to sign Hatem Ben Arfa from PSG in the January transfer window, but his arrival would go against everything that David Moyes has said he wants at the London Stadium.

When Moyes arrived at West Ham he stated that he would not tolerate players who were not prepared to work hard for the team.

The Hammers squad had been accused of lacking work-rate under Slaven Bilic, but Moyes expressed a desire to see his team increasing their desire within matches.

By bringing in Ben Arfa though, Moyes would go completely against these principles.

The French international would bring an attacking spark to West Ham, and would certainly increase their offensive threat.

However, Ben Arfa simply does not offer anything in a defensive sense.
